Welcome to Scout Troop 2020 for Girls
Do you want to challenge yourself? -- Do you want to try new things? Meet new friends? - Do you want to reach goals you never thought of achieving? Do you want to grow your confidence?
Take a look at what you can do in Troop 2020!
Campouts & Rank: We camp most every month - Yes, even in Winter - NO BUGS! We have fun troop adventures, work on rank, and compete at District events such as: Winter Klondike, Tougher Scout Challenge, Challenge Trophy Camporee, Swain Ski Jamboree, OA weekends, Fort George Scout Brigade of Canada and more!
Summer Camp: We head to the beautiful Adirondacks to Massawepie Scout Reservation to enjoy a week of fun with our friends to experience: earning all kinds of merit badges: – art, science, nature, shooting sports – archery, shotgun, rifle; water front – swimming, rowing, canoeing, kayaking, paddle boarding, mile swim, archaeology, astronomy, sports, leather-working, basketry, and so much more! And let's not forget the campfires, honor unit challenges, Barkeater Program, Jake's Snack Shack, games, exploring outposts & mountain climbs - There's so much to do!
Meetings & Rank: We hold weekly meetings run by youth preparing for events, team building, learning and practicing skills, earning rank, recognizing achievements and more.
Merit Badges: Scouts earn these individually, at camp, and some as troop – there are so many to explore your interests!
Leadership: There are many roles for Scouts to develop their leadership skills - Scouts lead the meetings and campouts!
Relationships: Making new friends and lasting friendships both with youth and adults in our troop and beyond, sharing great experiences together that creating memories of a life time is at the heart of scouting!
All of this helps scouts to not only earn rank, but to learn and become more knowledgeable, fit, confident, young women of character, citizenship, leadership, while building relationships with our troop mates, adults, and scouts in other units, districts, and even around the world, and live an adventurous life while making lifelong memories!
