Welcome to Scout Troop 2020 for Girls
Do you want to challenge yourself? -- Do you want to try new things? Meet new friends? - Do you want to reach goals you never thought of achieving? Do you want to grow your confidence?
A small glimpse into our Scout Troop – we enjoy:
Campouts & Rank: most every month, where we have fun and work on rank ,– and yes, even in the winter! Yes, some with other scouting units at district events like: Winter Klondike, Tougher Scout Challenge, Challenge Trophy Camporee, Swain Ski Jamboree, OA weekends , Fort George Scout Brigade of Canada and more!
Summer Camp: where we soak in the beauty of the Adirondacks, have a week of fun with our friends, enjoy campfires, hikes, games, challenges, various other activities like Jake's Snack Shack, and of course earning all kinds of merit badges: – art, science, nature, shooting sports – archery, shotgun, rifle; water front – swimming, rowing, canoeing, kayaking, paddle boarding, mile swim, archaeology, astronomy, sports, leather-working, basketry, and so much more!
Meetings & Rank: weekly meetings run by youth preparing for events, team building, learning and practicing skills, earning rank, recognizing achievements and more.
Merit Badges: we earn these individually, at camp, and some as troop – there are so many to explore your interests!
Leadership: There are many roles for us in scouting to develop our leadership - Scouts lead the meetings and campouts!
Relationships: making new friends (youth and adult) in our troop and beyond, sharing great experiences together that create memories of a life time!
All of this helps us to earn rank, learn and become more knowledgeable and confident young women, grow our leadership abilities, build relationships with our troop mates, adults, and scouts in other units, districts, and even around the world, live an adventurous life, and make great memories!
Help share this opportunity with young ladies (ages 11-17); The more the merrier! Be sure to bring your parents along as well!
Join us and YOU TOO can aspire to do these things!! DON'T MISS YOUR OPPORTUNITY!!
